Vhb Foam Tape

Very High Bonding Tape ( VHB tape ) is a polyacrylate foam tape produced using a unique solvent-free manufacturing technology, the foam core and adhesive surface are composed of polyacrylic, rather than coated on both sides of the adhesive, which is also a product that is different from general foam tape, can be vividly called “solid glue”.

This special structure endows the adhesive tape with a special overall viscoelasticity, and the adhesive tape as a whole can effectively dissipate the stress in the adhesive joint through the mechanical relaxation of the adhesive tape, thereby effectively protecting the adhesive connection. The foam core of this very high adhesive tape is a 100% cell obturator and does not allow water or air to pass through.

The unique viscoelastic properties of acrylic foam give it high cohesive strength and excellent impact and weather resistance. Typically, adhesion increases over time, creating a durable, high-performance bond between the part and the substrate. To optimize bond strength, the surface must be clean, dry and smooth, with a good fit between the part and the substrate. The decisive factor for good adhesive properties is the full surface contact between the tape and the substrate. Contact is achieved by pressure. In practice, pressures of 10 – 50 N/cm² are usually required.

This tapes is designed for a permanent bond.  Several days later, the bond becomes almost indestructible, in many instances, VHB tapes have proven to be an effective alternative to screws, rivets, and welds.It has the same properties as *M VHB tape.

Storage Conditions
Store in a clean dry shady place. Temperature of 20 degrees Celcius and 65 percent relative humidity are recommended.
